Margaret Walker did not write much in Journal 126. It covers only the month of August 1989. She begins this journal by writing about a library in Tougaloo under the heading “Little Known facts about the Library”. She continues by making a list of names under the heading “The Margaret Walker Collection”. In addition, she writes about some video tapes and microfilm readers, among other things that could be found in the Tougaloo library. Margaret also drafts a few verses of poems in this journal. Journal 126 also contains two of Margaret’s draft letters; some writing about her book on Richard Wright; as well as an outline of how to write essays on Literature and life.
